Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved iron supply material which can promote the supply of iron from iron-containing material and can stably maintain the supply of iron, and a method for producing the iron supply material and an iron supply method.SOLUTION: The iron supply material is provided that contains an iron-containing material and a humic acid-containing material having a coniferous tree as a main raw material. The humic acid-containing material like this contains much protocatechuic acid. Further, the humic acid-containing material functions as an amino acid supply source. Then, the protocatechuic acid and the amino acid eluted from the humic acid-containing material are polymerized to form the amino acid-protocatechuic acid polymer. This amino acid-protocatechuic acid polymer is eluted in water by reducing the iron contents in the iron-containing material. Further, the amino acid-protocatechuic acid polymer functions as a chelator of the iron eluted in the water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
