Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous ring capable of performing positively a synchronous operation without increasing its manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A synchronous ring having an actuation surface at an inner surface of a frustrated conical main body is manufactured by strip-like material through sheet metal press working. The frustrated conical main body has a large diameter axial end surface and a small diameter axial end surface and has a collar part protruded from the large diameter axial end surface toward radial outside. The collar part is provided with a plurality of teeth spaced apart by prescribed spacing and protruded in a radial direction and formed with engaging segments 8. The engaging segments 8 have a first bent part 9 bent in an axial direction from a large diameter axial end surface toward a small diameter axial end surface and a second bent part 10 bent from the first bent part 9 in a radial direction. The first bent part 9 is curved into an arc shape having the approximately same curvature factor as that of the large diameter axial end surface of the frustrated conical main body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
