PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molding capable of easily and assuredly molding, while properly suppressing the press pressure at the time of press molding, a molding having a desired three-dimensional shape possessing bulging portions such as ribs and of inducing the manifestation of a sufficient reinforcing effect ascribed to reinforcing fibers even in borders of such bulging portions and other portions; and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The provided fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molding is a molding molded by a press and possessing at least one bulging portion bulging in an out-plane direction from a planar portion, wherein the molding is constituted by a first fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin layer including a first reinforcing fiber layer in which reinforcing fibers are randomly oriented and a second fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin layer formed on at least one surface of the former and including a second reinforcing fiber layer, wherein the second fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin layer is ruptured within the bulging portion, and wherein the first reinforcing fiber layer extends continuously between the respective interiors of the planar portion and bulging portion. A method for manufacturing the same is also provided.
