PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a titanium blank for hot rolling that can reduce surface flaws occurring in hot rolling.SOLUTION: A method for producing a titanium blank for hot rolling includes the steps of heating a titanium material containing a solidified structure to a temperature of 100°C or more and less than 500°C, and plastically deforming the surface of the titanium material to form irregularities.SELECTED DRAWING: None
