Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine in which since an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of a small diameter part are simply cut and worked to secure toughness, work efficiency thereof can be improved.SOLUTION: There is provided a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine including: a cylindrical part 9b inserted into and arranged at an inner part of an eccentric shaft part 39 and having a large diameter part 9d fixed to a central part of a disk-like fixation end part 9a and a small diameter part 9e formed at a tip end side of the large diameter part; a needle bearing 38 interposed between an outer peripheral surface of the large diameter part of the cylindrical part and an inner peripheral surface of the eccentric shaft part; and a small diameter ball bearing 37 interposed between an outer peripheral surface of the small diameter part of the cylindrical part and an inner periphery of a motor output shaft. An outer peripheral surface 9g of the small diameter part and an inner peripheral surface 9f including a part of the large diameter part is cut after the surface of a driven member is carburized and quenched, and then hardness at the small diameter part is lowered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
