Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask assembly for respiration which can improve comfort for a patient and seal ability.SOLUTION: A mask assembly for respiration for delivering a breathable gas to a patient comprises a frame 20 including a front surface, and a back surface which faces the front surface and is adapted in use time, to face a patient. The frame 20 defines an inner wall and an outer wall extending from the back surface, and the inner wall and the outer wall are separated from each other and arranged to define a channel therebetween. A cushion can be detachably attached to the frame 20 so that the cushion can be repeatedly engaged with and separated from the frame 20. The cushion has a side wall which may be inserted into the channel of the frame 20, and the side wall has a first connection surface which engages with a second connection surface provided on the channel, when the cushion and the frame 20 are engaged with each other. The first connection surface and the second connection surface are mutually connected, so as to detachably attach the cushion to the frame 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5a
