Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device and a measuring method that can reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: A measuring device 10 that measures biological information by bringing a region to be examined into contact with a contact section 14 comprises: a pressure detecting section 31 that detects a pressure acting on the contact section 14; a laser light source 21 that emits laser light; a light receiving section 22 that receives scattering light of the laser light from the region to be examined; a sensor control section 35 that controls the supply of power to each of the pressure detecting section 31, the laser light source 21, and the light receiving section 22; and a biological information generating section 16 that generates biological information on the basis of an output of the light receiving section 22. The sensor control section 35 executes control so as to supply power to the laser light source 21 and the light receiving section 22 when the pressure detected by the pressure detecting section 31 is within a predetermined pressure range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
