Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a burner from upsizing and realize setting-up of both an observation port and a flame detector by providing one or more flame confirming pipes separately from a fuel supply pipe extending from behind a burner body to a flame facing portion through a packed layer. SOLUTION: A flame confirming pipe 13 is provided separately from a fuel supply pipe 4, extending from behind a burner body 1 through a heat storage layer 2 of a regenerative body 3 up to a flame facing portion 14, in this case, up to the vicinity of a vent hole 7 formed on the rear wall of a cup-shaped flame holder 8 which is provided at the tip of a fuel supply pipe 6. An observation port 11 is provided at the rear end of the pipe 13. With such a structure, a worker can visually observe the inside of the flame holder 8 through the observation port 11 by way of the pipe 13 and the vent hole 7. Thus, the presence of a flame can be confirmed. Alternatively, when a flame detector is connected to the pipe 13 instead of the observation port 11, a flame can be automatically detected.
