Title:
A medical treatment agent of sharp pain
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6105838
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new therapeutic agent which maintains an effect and can reduce multiple doses with respect to intractable algia such as neuropathic pains compared with the existing nerve block injections of narcotics, antiinflammatory analgesic agents or the like, and to provide a screening method for the new algia therapeutic agent.SOLUTION: It is considered that a brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) released from sensory nerves (primary neurons) and/or glia cells present in dorsal root ganglia (DRG) by pain stimulation is coupled with a receptor present on the postsynaptic membrane of the posterior horn of spinal cord, the pain signal is transmitted to secondary neurons, and the secondary neurons transmit the signal to brains. The therapeutic agent for algia contains as an active ingredient a substance inhibiting the coupling between the BDNF and its receptor. Further, the screening method for the new algia therapeutic agent screens a substance inhibiting the coupling between the BDNF and its receptor.
