Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium supply device and an image formation apparatus which suppress multi-feeding of media at the time of conveying the media.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a medium supply device 10 which comprises a medium loading part 101 storing media in a laminated manner and supplies the media on the medium loading part 101 to the external device. The medium supply device 10 comprises: a medium guide 102; a medium conveyance member 105; a medium separation part 106 which regulates multi-feeding following conveyance of the medium at the lowest position; a medium detection sensor 107 which detects arrival of the medium at the lowest position on the downstream side with respect to the medium separation part 106; a lifting member 103 which lifts the media stored in the medium loading part 101 from the lower direction at the position on the downstream side with respect to the medium guide 102 and on the upstream side with respect to the medium separation part 106; and control means which drives the lifting member 103 in accordance with detection of the medium detection sensor 107.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
