Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress set failure of a medium to a medium conveyance path provided with a medium guide.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises a medium guide mechanism 30 which presses an end in the width direction of a recording sheet P in a medium conveyance path 10 facing an opening 15 formed in a housing 2. The medium guide mechanism 30 includes an opening operation interlock mechanism 90 which moves upper side medium guides 36, 38 pressing the end in the width direction of the recording sheet P in the direction separating from the recording sheet P in conjunction with the opening operation of a conveyance path opening/closing cover 13. The opening operation interlock mechanism 90 connects the rotation of a worm gear 91 connected to a hinge 14 of the conveyance path opening/closing cover 13 to a shaft body 93 via a deceleration mechanism 92, rotates a push-up lever 97 via a flange 96 attached to the shaft body 93 from a first position 97A to a second position 97B, and pushes up the upper side medium guides 36, 38.
