Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with various kinds of failures without deteriorating productivity of a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A membrane electrode assembly manufacturing method includes: a first step of obtaining a belt-like assembly continuous sheet on which an assembly of an electrolyte membrane and an electrode for manufacturing a fuel battery is formed by jointing the electrolyte membrane fed from an electrolyte membrane roll and the electrode fed from an electrode roll; a second step of detecting plural kinds of failures selected from failure of the electrolyte membrane, failure of the electrode, and failure of the assembly formed in the first step; and a third step of providing a mark to an object no which failures are detected for each detected failure. The mark is provided so that a relative position of the electrolyte membrane roll and the electrode roll in a width direction becomes a position defined differently from each other for each kind of failures, and so that each mark can be detected after manufacturing the membrane electrode assembly.
