Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory management device, a memory management method and a video recording/reproducing device that can suppress lowering of use efficiency of a NAND memory.SOLUTION: A memory management device of an embodiment is the memory management device that classifies a memory block which a storage medium has into any block of a normal block, a congenital bad block which became bad during manufacturing, and an acquired bad block which became bad during using and that manages only the memory block classified into the normal block to be available, and the memory management device comprises a management unit. The management unit classifies the memory block other than the congenital bad block into either of the normal block or the acquired bad block according to processing time required for write processing or erasure processing performed to the memory block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
