Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce power consumption by memories.SOLUTION: A memory managing device includes a storage unit that stores for each of the programs the storage size in which programs to be executed are to be stored into a memory having plural banks each of which permits supply and interception of electricity separately from others and a control unit that performs such electricity supply control as allocation of the programs instructed to be executed to a memory area for the storage size in the memory matching the programs in the memory, release of the memory area to which already executed programs were allocated, rearrangement of the memory area for which allocation of the programs is destined at a given timing, supply of electricity from the banks to which the memory area having allocation of the programs belongs and interception of electricity supply to the banks to any memory area to which none of the programs is allocated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
