Abstract:
To provide a commodity information reading device and a program capable of restricting improper registration of a commodity.SOLUTION: When a detection part (detection means) detects that an article is present in an image captured by a scanner (an imaging device), a recognition part (recognition means) executes recognition processing for identifying one commodity corresponding to the article, on the basis of the similarity between the feature amount of the article detected by the detection part and the feature amount serving as a reference of a commodity. When the recognition part cannot identify one commodity corresponding to the article, a commodity selection part (selection means) selects a candidate commodity possibly corresponding to the article and a non-candidate commodity other than the candidate commodity, and a display control part (display control means) displays an operation screen on which the candidate commodity and the non-candidate commodity are displayed in a selectable manner. A selection accepting part (accepting means) accepts the candidate commodity as a commodity when accepting the selection of the candidate commodity from the operation screen, and causes a notification part (notification means) to make a notification when accepting the selection of the non-candidate commodity from the operation screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
