Abstract:
To obtain a metal complex having a tridentate ligand and monodentate ligand and expressing sufficient light emission performance.
The metal complex comprises a metal selected from transition metals of the forth period and the fifth period, W, Os, Ir, Au and lantanoides, the monodentate ligand and the tridentate ligand containing ≥1 aromatic rings and 3 ligand atoms in the aromatic rings and expresses light emission in the visible region at ≥10°C. A light emission element having an organic layer which is a light emission layer containing the metal complex between electrodes comprising an anode and a cathode is provided.
