Abstract:

To provide a metal complex having an excellent gas-separating performance.

The metal complex comprises a dicarboxylic acid compound (I) represented by general formula (I) (wherein, R1, R2, and R3are each identically or differently H, alkyl (which may have one or more substituents) or a halogen atom; X is a substituent showing an electron-donating property by a resonance effect), at least one metal selected from chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, iron, ruthenium, cobalt, rhodium, nickel, palladium, copper, zinc and cadmium, and an organic ligand which can form a bidentate on the metal.
