Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal recovery method and a metal recovery device used for the method which can improve recovery efficiency of an objective metal.SOLUTION: A method to recover an objective metal from processed stuff containing oxide or hydroxide of the objective metal comprises: an iron reduction process 1 of reducing ferric ion to ferrous ion with iron reduction bacteria; a leaching process 2 of reducing oxide or hydroxide of the objective metal with the ferrous ion by making leachate containing the ferrous ion and the processed stuff contact, and leaching the objective metal in the leachate; a solid-liquid separation process 3 of separating the leachate which the objective metal leached in the leaching process as a leaching pregnant solution from the processed stuff, by the leaching process; and a metal recovery process 4 recovering the objective metal from the leaching pregnant solution. The iron reduction process and the leaching process are executed in discrete reaction containers.
