Abstract:
To provide a method and an apparatus for refining a metal, etc., which remove impurity by a comparatively simple method, thereby achieving improved refining efficiency.
The method for refining the metal is provided in which a coolant 3 is dipped into molten metal 2 to be refined, and a high purity metal is crystallized on the surface of the coolant while rotating the coolant 3. In the method, pressure is given to the metal crystallized on the surface of the coolant 3. Impurities on the interface of solidification in the crystallized metal 5 are thereby exhausted to the outside of the crystallized metal, the refining efficiency of the refined metal can be improved as a result.
