Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for recovering a metal, capable of reducing the amount of a chelating agent to be used. The method for recovering a metal of the present invention includes a complex forming step of forming, in a mixture, a complex between a metal in a sample and a chelating agent; a complex depositing step of depositing the complex in the mixture; and a metal recovering step of recovering the deposited complex from the mixture, thereby recovering the metal in the sample, and the method satisfies the following condition (1): the complex forming step and the complex depositing step are performed in parallel, wherein a sample with a pH adjusted to a pH at which the chelating agent is insoluble in an aqueous solvent and a chelate solution containing the chelating agent dissolved therein are mixed, thereby performing the formation and deposition of the complex in parallel.
