PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing a chlorogenic acid content of a Compositae plant.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for increasing a chlorogenic acid content of a Compositae plant. The method includes the step of irradiating a seedling of a Compositae plant with light of 400-500 nm in wavelength in a photosynthesis effective photonic flux density of 100-300 μmol msfor 16 hours or longer per day.SELECTED DRAWING: None
