Abstract:
The method concerns impact rolling solid or hollow cylindrical components (1) which are fed in the direction of their longitudinal axis (1'). At least one impact roll (4, 5) in an external rotating roll head (2, 3) performs a specified sequence of individual impact-like rolling operations on predetermined zones of the component. The method is characterised by the fact that the individual operations are performed in the transverse direction (S_1, S_2) relative to the component. The appts. is characterised by the presence of at least one roll head which rotates about axes (2', 3') substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (1') of the component.
