Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a hydrophobic composite bioelastomer containing a crosslinked bioelastomer matrix in which an organic phase is dispersed.SOLUTION: There is provided a method by conducting a crosslinking reaction of hydroxyl terminated polysiloxane and a silane coupling agent containing acetoxysilane to obtain crosslinked polysiloxane while releasing acetic acid. The crosslinking method is conducted in the presence of starch, and at least partial acetylation is caused at the site by acetic acid released from the starch taken in a crosslinked bioelastomer matrix.SELECTED DRAWING: None
