Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for efficiently manufacturing an image forming belt having a silicone rubber layer formed uniformly in a short time and suitable for a mass production. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the image forming belt comprises the steps of feeding a belt base material by winding the base material around a drive roll 2 and a tension roll 3, supplying a curable silicone rubber composition to an outer surface of the base material, coating and broadening the outer surface of the base material with the composition by a first blade 4 disposed at a position isolated at a predetermined interval from the base material in a range of an upper contact point to a lower contact point of the drive roll with the base material, then regulating a layer of the coated and broadened composition to a predetermined thickness by a second blade 5 disposed at a position isolated at a predetermined interval from the base material at a downstream side from the position disposed with the first belt, and then curing the composition layer formed on the outer surface of the material in a state in which the layer is fed together with the material.
