A honeycomb body (1) has a housing (2) and layers with a curved gradient (4) and of a specific length, which in each case comprises a partly structured metal film, so channels (7) with a duct cross section is formed, with which the major portion of the layer is implemented with length different from each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) the production of a honeycomb body; and (B) the application of a honeycomb body.
