To provide a method capable of accurately measuring a material to be measured without being influenced by a measurement interfering material included in a specimen, in a measuring method using an immune agglutination method as a measuring principle.
This method for measuring the material to be measured included in the specimen includes (a) a step of generating an agglutination reaction by sequentially adding, to the specimen, the first reagent including a buffer agent and the second reagent including fine particles to which a specific bonding material to be bonded specifically to the material to be measured is bonded, and measuring an absorbance change acquired by the agglutination reaction; (b) (b1) a step of generating an agglutination reaction by sequentially adding, to the specimen, the third reagent including the buffer agent and the specific bonding material and the fourth reagent including the fine particles, and measuring an absorbance change acquired by the agglutination reaction, whereas, in this case, the fourth reagent may be the same as the second reagent, or (b2) a step of generating an agglutination reaction by sequentially adding, to the specimen, the first reagent and the fourth reagent, and measuring an absorbance change acquired by the agglutination reaction, whereas, in this case, the fourth reagent is different from the second reagent; and (c) a step of determining a difference between the absorbance change acquired in the step (a) and the absorbance change acquired in the step (b).
