Abstract:
Burner with stepped fuel injection comprises a burner with a turbulence generator for a combustion airflow and means for injection of fuel into the airflow. The injection means comprises first (4a) and second (4b) groups of fuel outlets for injecting fuel in two pre-mixing stages, with one stage downstream of the other. Sensors (8, 9) record pulsation caused by combustion in the burner and emission levels. A controller uses the measurements to control fuel supply to the first and second injection stages. An Independent claim is made for a method for operating a burner in which measured values of pulsation and emissions are used in a feedback manner to control fuel injection.
