Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal adsorbent capable of selectively recovering useful metals by effectively using biomass wastes.SOLUTION: There is provided a metal adsorbent which comprises: acetylated chitosan; a graft chain formed by graft polymerization of a monomer having a radically polymerizable double bond with a hydroxyl group in a structural unit of the acetylated chitosan; and an acetylated chitosan derivative having a metal coordinating functional group introduced into a side chain of the graft chain.
