Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate opening holding device for a vehicle back door capable of holding a horizontally openable back door at various positions with an intermediate opening by easy work, without being hindered by a stay member, with a simple structure using the detachable stay member.SOLUTION: An intermediate opening holding device for a vehicle back door includes: a stay storing portion 20 which is provided one of a rear end surface of a vehicle body rear portion and an inner surface of a horizontally openable back door 5 of the vehicle body rear portion, and stores a stay member 17 in a vehicle width direction; first pin portions 27a and 27b provided on both end sides in the stay storing portion; and a plurality of second pin portions 53a-53c disposed in the vehicle width direction at predetermined intervals on the other from a portion where a stay storing portion is formed of a rear end surface of a vehicle body and an inner surface of a back door. The stay member has latch portions 29a and 29b respectively provided at both ends of the stay member, and loosely fitted with the first pin portions so as to be attached/detached, and a posture changing portion 39 capable of varying the orientations of the latch portions. When the opening/closing of the back door is held, to any of the plurality of second pin portions, either one of the latch portions can be selectively engaged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
