Abstract:
PURPOSE:To separate and recover a valuable oxide from a mineral contg. plural kinds of mineral by a simple method by injecting the mineral together with fuel and an oxidizing agent into a heating furnace and utilizing differences of boiling of the oxides. CONSTITUTION:Fuel and an oxidizing agent (e.g., O2) are injected from an injection nozzle 5 and burnt in a heating furnace 1. Thus, the temp. in the furnace is regulated to a somewhat higher temp. (e.g., 2600 deg.C) than a b.p. of a specified oxide in a mineral contg. plural kinds of oxide, for example SiO2 in flyash (having 2230 deg.C b.p.). When the flyash is injected from an injection nozzle 6 together with O2, SiO2 is vaporized and then cooled in a cooling pipe 8. The cooled SiO2 is sucked with a suction fan 14, and SiO2 particles are recovered with a cyclone separator 12 and bag-filter type dust collector 13. On the other hand, Al2O3 (3500 deg.C b.p.) in the flyash is separated and recovered in a recovered water tank 15 at the bottom of the heating furnace 1. If conditions of swirl flow from the nozzle are adjusted by the adjustment of ejecting velocity of the gas accompanying the flyash and an angle of the nozzle in this stage, the shape of Al2O3 becomes filmy, fibrous, or granular when entering the recovered water tank 15.
