Abstract:
To open an internal shutter before closing an external shutter.SOLUTION: A coin processing device includes: a coin deposit port that temporarily holds coins inserted by a customer during a deposit process; an external shutter that opens and closes the coin deposit port with respect to the outside of the device; a coin separator that separates the coins; an internal shutter that forms a bottom of the coin deposit port during a closed time, and allows the coin to move from the coin deposit port to the coin separator during an open time; a coin sensor that detects presence or absence of the coin at a predetermined position in the coin deposit port; and a control unit that opens the internal shutter when the coin is detected by the coin sensor during the deposit process, and closes the external shutter after the coin is no longer detected by the coin sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
