Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of reducing power consumption of a monitoring camera device.SOLUTION: A monitoring camera device is configured such that: a compression section of a codec 35 compresses image data indicating an image captured by an imaging unit 32 for capturing an image through a lens; a luminance control section of a control unit 36 controls the luminance of the image indicated by the image data compressed by the compression section of the codec 35; a luminance acquisition section of the control unit 36 acquires the luminance of the image whose luminance is controlled by the luminance control section of the control unit 36; and a compression control section of the control unit 36 stops operation of the compression section of the codec 35 when the luminance acquired by the luminance acquisition section is lower than a reference value.
