Abstract:
To watch the daily life of a watching object person in a room without impairing the comfort of the object person.SOLUTION: A monitoring device 2 which monitors a person in a room comprises: a housing 20 having a base portion 21 which is fixed to a ceiling surface and a cover portion 22 which is arranged beneath the base portion 21 and is detachably attached to the base portion 21; a camera 30 which is housed inside the housing 20 and photographs inside of the room; a camera fixing portion 33 which is supported by the housing 20 and fixes the camera 30; and a controller 50 which is housed inside the housing 20 and has a processing unit 52 processing an image signal acquired by the camera 30 and a substrate 51 on which the processing unit 52 is mounted. The housing 20 includes a window portion with an open side face to enable the camera 30 to photograph the inside of the room. A substrate 51 is arranged above the camera 30 and substantially in parallel to the ceiling surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
