Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for a conveyer belt, which can accurately detect an omen of occurrence of a malfunction such as rupture in the conveyer belt.SOLUTION: Elongation of a conveyer belt 6 during traveling is sequentially detected by an elongation detection mechanism 2, and tension acting on a tension member layer 7 constituting the conveyer belt 6 is sequentially detected by a tension detection mechanism 3. The presence or absence of a defect in the conveyer belt 6 is monitored by a control part 4 on the basis of data obtained by the above detection. Thus, the presence or absence of the occurrence of the defect in the conveyer belt 6 is grasped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
