Abstract:
To provide a motor unit capable of supplying oil scooped up by a gear to a desired region.SOLUTION: A motor unit 1 includes a motor, a speed reducer 4 having a counter gear 42, a differential device 5 having a ring gear 51, a housing 6 provided with a gear chamber, and oil accumulated in a lower region of the gear chamber. The lower end of the counter gear is located below the lower end of the ring gear and is immersed in the oil. The housing has a catch tank 93 which is located above the counter gear, has an axial position overlapping the counter gear and is opened upward, and a branch guide 64 which has an axial position overlapping the counter gear and on which the oil scooped up by the counter gear hits. The branch guide has a lower end portion, a first guide portion, and a second guide portion. The first guide portion guides the oil scooped up by the counter gear to the catch tank. The second guide portion guides the oil scooped up by the counter gear to the differential device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
