PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of a caretaker by improving operability.SOLUTION: A loading device of an article to be loaded includes: a main plate body 34 on which a wheelchair is loaded; a vehicle side plate body 36 provided between one end of the main plate body 34 and a vehicle body; a grounding side plate body 38 provided between the other end of the main plate body 34 and a grounding surface; a first drive mechanism for imparting rotary driving force to a second rotary shaft; a second drive mechanism for transmitting the rotary driving force to a third rotary shaft; a switch mechanism for switching between a transmitting state and a non-transmitting state of the rotary driving force from the second drive mechanism to the third rotary shaft; a rotation angle sensor for detecting a rotation angle of a first rotary shaft; a grip part 46 provided on a slope 22; a grip sensor 31 for detecting a gripped state and a non-gripped state of the grip part 46 by a caretaker; and a gripping state determining part which determines whether the grip part 46 is in the gripped state or not based on a gripping detecting signal from the grip sensor 31.
