Abstract:
To provide a method for fitting a cap to a pipe that can reduce time and effort necessary for fitting a cap to a pipe normally.SOLUTION: A fitting method for fitting a bottomed cylindrical cap 2 to an opening end part of a pipe 3 includes the steps of: correcting a shape of the cap 2 by causing the cap 2 and a correction device 25 to abut on each other while holding the cap 2 with a holding device 50; separating the corrected cap 2 from the correction device 25 and fitting the cap to the opening end part of the pipe 3; and releasing the cap 2 held by the holding device 50 to separate the cap 2 from the holding device 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
