Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed grain wire saw having a binding material layer of high abrasive grain holding force and a method for manufacturing the same in order to suppress falling of abrasive grains.SOLUTION: A fixed abrasive grain wire which contains a nano carbon fiber, on an outermost surface of which a plating metal layer 3 in which nickel crystal grains are micronized is located, and in which abrasive grains 1 having a fine irregularity on a surface thereof are fixed to a metal wire 5 which becomes a core wire by a binding material layer 6 comprising a multilayer structure which has a plating metal layer 4 softer than the afore-said plating metal layer. A method for manufacturing a fixed abrasive grain wire saw by which the plating metal layer is formed while adding supersonic vibration to a plating bath in which nano carbon fivers are dispersed, whereby a fixed abrasive grain wire saw, which contains nano carbon fibers uniformly and on an outermost surface of which the nano carbon fiber-containing nickel plating metal layer 3 comprising fine nickel crystal grains are located, is manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
