Abstract:

To provide a game system and the like which permits a game to be progressed without giving a feeling of strangeness to a player when a player character is located near to a door to keep the door open in a game where characters move on a virtual field through the door.

The player character 41 is present in a first area 431and the other character 42 is present in a second area 432. When the door 45 is opened by the other character 42, the game system decides whether or not the position of the player character 41 is in a door opening range 47. When it is not in the door opening range as shown in (a), an animation in which the door 45 opens toward the first area 431is displayed on the display screen 114 of the game device as shown in (c). When it is in the door opening range as shown in (b), an animation in which the door 45 opens toward the second area 432is displayed as shown in (d).
