Abstract:

To produce an asymmetric acylation catalyst capable of optically resolving a racemic secondary alcohol with high selectivity in spite of a relatively simple structure.

The asymmetric acylation catalyst is used when the racemic secondary alcohol is optically resolved and is represented by the formula (wherein R1is a hydrocarbon group, R2is an aryl group, A is a trisubstituted siloxy group, a disubstituted amino group or an acyloxy group and * is asymmetric carbon and an optically active point).
