Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new non-fluorescent protein, and a transplantation method using the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a mutant of monomeric Plum as a fluorescent protein, characterized in that: (1) it shows the same antigenicity as monomeric Plum; (2) it is substantially non-fluorescent; and (3) an amino acid corresponding to 68-th tyrosine in the amino acid sequence of monomeric Plum is an amino acid other than tyrosine.SELECTED DRAWING: None
