Title:
The nonreturn valve for fuel tanks
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6150772
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
A fuel tank check valve, which can prevent one portion of a coil portion of a torsion coil spring from being stuck on a stepped portion of a pivot so as to generate an operational failure of a flap, is provided. A fuel tank check valve (2) includes a cylindrical member (6) defining a flow channel for a fuel fluid; a flap (8) axially supported on the cylindrical member (6) through a pivot (40); and a torsion coil spring (10) urging the flap (8) in a closing direction. The pivot (40) includes a large diameter portion (48) around which a coil portion (50) of the torsion coil spring (10) is wound; and a first small diameter portion (44) and a second small diameter portion (46) coaxial with each other, and projecting into a shaft hole (60) provided in either one of the cylindrical member (6) or the flap (8). The first small diameter portion (44) is adjacent to the large diameter portion (48), and is off-centered to a side where the torsion coil spring (10) presses against the pivot (40) relative to the large diameter portion (48).
