To realize nonwoven fabric for cooling that shows the cooling action utilizing the evaporation heat phenomenon and gives the water retention property to the fabric thereby efficient cooling action is retained for a long time.

This subject is achieved by the nonwoven fabric for cooling that is made of a thermoplastic resin at least at the fiber surface and hydrophilic particles are supported on the fiber surface wherein the water retention of this nonwoven fabric is more than 100 (g/cm3). Further, in the nonwoven fabric for cooling, the apparent specific gravity of the nonwoven fabric having the hydrophilic particles supported is preferably 0.100 to 0.200 (g/cm3). In a preferred embodiment, photocatalytic particles are suitably used as a hydrophilic particle.
