Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control device and a control method that are able to immediately stop movement of a machine tool.SOLUTION: The CUP of a numerical control device outputs a movement command to move the main shaft of a machine tool to the machine tool. In a case where an alarm arises during the movement of the main shaft, the CPU performs a shaft stop process. In a case where the degree of emergency of the arising alarm is low (S59:NO), the CPU outputs a movement command for storage to a RAM until a deceleration stop distance La becomes shorter than a remaining movement distance Lb. The deceleration stop distance La is a distance by which the moving main shaft moves at a predetermined acceleration in order to decelerate and stop. The remaining movement distance Lb is a movement distance remaining in the RAM, which is indicated by the movement command. When the deceleration stop distance La becomes shorter than the remaining movement distance Lb (S59:YES), the CPU starts a process for decelerating and stopping the main shaft. Conversely, when the degree of emergency of the arising alarm is high(S59:YES), the CPU starts the process for decelerating and stopping the main shaft regardless the relation between the deceleration stop distance La and the remaining movement distance Lb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
