Abstract:
To provide a nurse call system capable of allowing an inpatient him/herself to measure vital signs.SOLUTION: In a nurse call system A, a control machine 8 transmits a vital sign measurement request signal to a bed-side monitor 3 having a vital sign acquisition unit when a previously set predetermined time comes. When a vital sign measurement request signal is received, the bed-side monitor validates a vital sign acquisition unit and also performs notification to an inpatient to measure vital signs. An inpatient brings a finger belly of his/her forefinger into contact with the vital sign acquisition unit by the notification. The vital sign acquisition unit performs measurement of vital signs after personal authentication is finished. When measurement of vital signs is ended, the bed-side monitor performs control to transmit measured vital sign information to the control machine 8 together with predetermined patient information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
