Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a subjective image of a video subjected to compression encoding by an encoding technique in which a plurality of processing block sizes are permitted by an image quality evaluation system based on the bit stream analysis.SOLUTION: A device 1 for evaluating the objective image quality includes a parameter analysis part 10 and a quantization parameter average value calculation part 20. The parameter analysis part 10 obtains the quantization parameter of an encoding block from the compression bit stream. In the quantization parameter average value calculation part 20, an average value of the quantization parameter for every coding block obtained by the parameter analysis part 10 is obtained for every block size of the encoding block.
