Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp and evaluate a process of making an edge of a piercing punch reach chipping.SOLUTION: In an observation method of an edge of a piercing punch for observing the edge of the piercing punch 1 used for piercing processing of a workpiece 2, a tip part 7 including the edge of the piercing punch 1 becomes a separation type, and the tip part 7 and the workpiece 2 are bonded in half-extraction time of the workpiece 2, and when extracting the piercing punch 1, the tip part 7 is separated and left in a state of being buried in the workpiece 2. A cross section including the edge is taken out of the integrated tip part 7 and workpiece 2, and the edge is observed by an optical microscope. Thus, a process of making the edge of the piercing punch 1 reach chipping, can be grasped and evaluated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
