Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detection device for detecting an obstacle on a path.SOLUTION: The obstacle detection device for a vehicle comprises: an infrared camera 2 for photographing a front of a vehicle; a stereocamera 3 for photographing a front of the vehicle; a path identification section 5 for identifying a path on the basis of an infrared image photographed by the infrared camera 2; a stereo image creation section 6 for creating a stereo image on the bases of respective images photographed by the stereocamera 3; and an obstacle detection section 7 for identifying an obstacle on the path on the basis of the path identified by the path identification section 5 and the stereo image.
