Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform efficient laser beam welding with a melting part not contributed to joining reduced to the minimum and with the effective joining length extended without causing interference between a workpiece and a laser beam even when laser beam welding with a welded joint shape as fillet welding is performed.
CONSTITUTION: When laser beam welding with the welded joint shape as fillet welding is performed, a plane of polarization is inclined at 45° to the side where the joining face exists for the welding proceeding direction by using the laser beam 3 of linearly polarized light and the joining face is irradiated with the laser beam 3 to perform welding.
