Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator that functions as a buffer for storing surplus oil and can return necessary oil to a compressor, and a refrigeration cycle device.SOLUTION: An oil separator 18 comprises: a housing 30 into which a refrigerant discharged from a compressor flows; an oil return pipe 24 that is connected to a lower end plate 33 of the housing 30 and returns oil separated in the housing 30, to the compressor; a riser pipe 36 that is connected to the oil return pipe 24 and extends in a height direction in the housing 30 from an inner surface 33A of the lower end plate 33 of the housing 30; and a hole part 37 that leads oil accumulated in a lower space 38 below an upper end port 36A of the riser pipe 36 in the housing 30, to the oil return pipe 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
